A few words about myself.

I'm a Washington, DC-based web designer with 5 years of professional web-related experience. I'm into clean, elegant designs with a focus on usability and accessibility. As a web designer, I bring together wireframes, visual mock-ups and standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, and Javascript to create solid, usable websites.

I have a B.A. in English and Technical Communication from James Madison University, and became interested in making websites sometime in college, when I realized that I really didn't want to be a literary editor or critic. Two years ago, I decided to pursue a Graphic/Web Design certification at Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts. I currently work as a Web Designer/Developer at Market Hardware, and regularly nerd out at events like Refresh DC.

When I'm not thinking about websites, I like to read GOOD magazine and nurture my unhealthy addiction to burritos.

Please have a look at my portfolio to see some of my recent work. If you think you'd like to work with me, I'd love to hear from you.
